Counselling is a form of talking therapy that allows you to voice challenges and difficult feelings in a confidential and safe environment. It gives you an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in more depth and to review and update your coping mechanism to serve you better.
A counsellor will not tell you what to do. Instead you will be supported and encouraged to uncover the causes of your challenges. Together with your counsellor you will work towards acceptance or change or both, depending on what you bring to the work.
